The Artist Visit / Kunstnerbesøket

From NK's website: In the series «The artist visit», we at Norwegian Association of Arts and Crafts have visited the artists where the magic happens – in their workshops! Get a unique insight into how skilled material-based artists work, and get to know the people behind the art better.

Ceramic artist Linda Jansson Lothe's work can be seen as a tribute to the analog, handmade, time-consuming and slow processes. She works with both sculptural art and more use-oriented art, where the narrative is a common hub. By triggering our collective subconscious, Lothe wants to do things that are personal but recognizable by many. She is fascinated by contrasts, and what happens in the field of tension between the "beautiful" and the "ugly".
